zozamama - asian restaurant design

Michael Haiblum suggested several options for the restaurant concept design.

The chosen concept was: “ bamboo forest. “

The restaurant walls were all covered with bamboo trunks.

Hundreds of bamboo trunks of different heights were attached to the ceiling, some as lighting fixtures designed by Michael Haiblum.

Using bamboo created a unique, rich, & warm space that enhances the strength of the restaurant's concept.

The advantage of using bamboo trunks is the acoustics - even when the restaurant is full, the acoustics is excellent.

The designer & client sat at the drawing table and divided the space into several operative sub-areas.

The designer created options in the seating area that provide maximum flexibility for various customers.

A unique seating area was designed where diners sit on the floor as the best Asian tradition - this area is special & accentuates the ambiance.

Michael Haiblum Planned, designed, & supervised the work process until project completion.
